 The Prophet Isaiah And The Moon In the Time Of The Return Of Yahushua Messiah

In the time of Moses at the great exodus of Israel from Egypt, YHVH The Almighty Elohiym of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, performed very significant judgements that present deliberate messages and the signature of the great Creator of the universe:  Among these many messages and their lessons, He declared His Name – “YHVH” – to Pharaoh and the whole of Egypt and Goshen (in prophetic shadow type, “Egypt” in the latter days represents mankind’s world civilisation, and “Goshen” represents the set-apart place where His People prepare to approach Him). Secondly He deployed plague judgements that biblical scholars have identified as intentionally directed at demonstrating judgements on the central “gods” of the religion(s) of the ancient Egyptians.

In the last days, the prophets declare YHVH will judge the nations, bring about another “greater exodus” and establish the millennial “Messianic Age” in residence with His people.   In Isaiah 24 we are given some details of what will happen to our solar system in that time of judgement, and one of the signs appears to be the moon becoming a pit of shame and a reproach – by implication the moon will be in a condition such that men may not be able to use it as a foundation for the calculation of appointed times for the calendar when He comes to judge and to gloriously establish His Kingdom in Zion and in Jerusalem “before His ancients”.

Isaiah 24: 17-23

17  Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.

18  And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

19  The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.

20  The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

21  And it shall come to pass in that day, that YHVH shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

22  And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.

23  Then the moon shall be confounded <02659>, and the sun ashamed <0954>, when YHVH of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.


In this portion of scripture, in relation to the descriptions of the moon and the sun are two different Hebrew words which could both be simply translated as “ashamed”, yet there is a deliberate use of two distinct different words, and a simple translation that both mean “ashamed” in the same sense cannot be correct.

The Moon: In reference to the moon the Hebrew word there is “chapher” <02659>,  and is far stronger than simply meaning “ashamed” – it means figuratively to blush, ashamed, and causatively to be put to shame, to be made a reproach, and is related to the word “chaphar” <02658> which means to pry into, to dig for – by implication to explore, to search for . It is also related to the word “Chepher” <02660> meaning a pit, a well, a pit of shame.

So it can be concluded that the message of the  “confounding” of the moon is that it is going to be exposed as a reproach, a pit of shame. How can this be understood? We note a context in verse 20 of Isaiah 24 which tells us the earth will be reeling “to and fro” as a drunkard – which clearly speaks of the earth wobbling both on its axis and probably in its orbit around the sun. So in terms of physics the effect that will be happening to the wobbling earth’s orbit and axis tottering will clearly exert dynamic and direct effects on the nature of the moon’s orbit around the earth, where it can be expected that moon will equally become grossly erratic and reeling in its orbit around the earth and incur the same judgment of reeling “to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it …” because of the effect of the earth’s reeling.

From a figurative perspective we can see here a shadow type of the signature of YHVH’s plagues in the first exodus of Moses – where the plagues were directed to the judgment(s) of the religious system(s).  As theinstitutional  so-called “Abrahamic faiths” today use the moon as their central authority on their religious calendars, what becomes an obvious expectation is that in the coming time of judgment of the nations,  the moon is not going to be able to be used as the central pointer of time on which to proclaim the appointed times of YHVH  for in that day the moon will be “confounded” . Thus it appears that those who would declare that the appointed Divine authority over the biblical calendar is the moon and its cycles around the earth will find it very difficult with an erratic moon. Furthermore if the moon is declared by Isaiah to become to become a reproach and a pit of shame at that time, so by association will all attempted calculations of religious calendars and declarations of appointed times of worship suffer the same fate.

The Sun: But what of the sun being “ashamed”. In reference to the sun the Hebrew is “buwsh” <0954> which means to “pale” and by implication to be ashamed. Thus in regard to the sun, the meaning is not the same kind of shame that is associated with the moon which is based on becoming a reproach or being put into a pit of shame, but the sun is being described as being simply made to pale. Considering the physics of our solar system this could be a description of a “cooling sun” with the earth still orbiting around it – which may be reflecting the judgment of famine through a concomitant “mini ice age” and a cooling earth causing widespread famine and migrations of populations.

Also to be noted is the context of Isaiah 24: 20 that it is the earth , not the sun, that is described as being affected in its orbital and axial status, and clearly along with the wobbly earth will be an associated impact in the orbital behaviour of the moon to an erratic (drunkard) status causing an unrealizable cycle making it impossible to be used for the counting of days and months. The sun is not described in this manner at all.

From a figurative perceptive, the shaming of the sun is further clarified by scripture comparing the sun to symbolising the glory of the garments of the Groom – Yahushua Messiah (Psalm 19), but not symbolizing the Messiah. Thus the shaming of the sun is inferring a type of comparison – that when Yahuhsua Messiah returns in judgment of the nations and in glory to be with His people, His glory will be greater than the glory of the sun,  and thus in comparison to the glory of YHVH, the sun will be “ashamed” and will retire to the background in the presence of the King of Glory.


The Awakening From Deception In The Last Days

Indeed in the last few years we have been woken up (I am persuaded we have been delivered from a great deception) to the creation law that the moon has never been instructed by YHVH to be an accurate indicator by which one measures biblical time. There is evidence that the length of the lunar year in past times has changed – meaning its orbit has changed before. Currently the lunar year of 12 months is truly a matter of approximately 358 days, falling way short of our solar reality of the circuit (tekufa) of the sun of 365.25 days.

The moon, as part of YHVH’s creation, functions in many significant ways to bless the earth – the obvious example is its influence on the movement of air and ocean currents and tides, thus affecting weather, as well as affecting ecology.


Creation’s Rules For Accurate Time Keeping And Navigation Prove The Moon Is An Unreliable, Inaccurate Authority

The proof that the moon is unreliable in the measurement of time is not only to be found in the written word of scripture, but also in the historical physical act of navigating the earth.  To circumnavigate the world before GPS technology, one needed to identify latitude and longitude, and for longitude one needs a very accurate measure of time as well as knowledge of how fast the ship has been sailing and in what directions.

Throughout history, we find ocean navigators have used the position of the sun as well as the constellations of stars at night to navigate – they have not used the moon because when they did so they found they were ending up being out by a minimum of 100 nautical miles or more – an error that caused many ships to be lost on treacherous rocks with great loss of life.

A major example of the historical evidence of this is readily seen in the life story of the famous British inventor who developed the first ocean going chronometers for the British navy – it was also why Greenwich meantime was established, because one John Harrison in his research and development tests, calibrated his chronometer time piece to the precise 12 o’clock noon midday sun at Greenwich, as his central point of reference for his timekeeping measurements – simply because that was where he resided during his days of research and development of his ocean going instruments for the British navy.

The life story of Harrison is fascinating one (and there is even a very good family drama movie available (called “Longitude”) which presented a fascinating narrative of just how much of a fight Harrison had on his hands with the traditional church and “Academy of Science” in his day who were adamant that accurate navigation could only be established by accurate measurements of the moon. Harrison’s personal battle against the religious and the “scientists” of his day took his whole life, when eventually he was proven correct and his invention was adopted by the British navy.

For more than 30 years, Harrison fought this battle against the religious dogma and politics of the Church and the “Academy of Science” which shows something of just how resilient Harrison was. The Church was intransigent in its worldview of how time should be measured, having inherited its translation of the old testament translation from King James’ engagement of Rabbinic theologians for it translation, whom as we now know were responsible including rabbinic scribal emendations in their  texts directly into the English translation. This was how it was that certain key Hebrew words such as “rosh chodesh ” became translated in the law of Moses as “new month” but in the rest of the old testament mostly translated as as “new moon“, contrary to being consistent with its original plain meaning of “new month“.

In the end, the King of England personally helped Harrison financially with his research (because of the high cost of over 30 years or more of him battling single handily against the “church” and the “Academy of Science”). The approach of the Church and the “Academy of Sciences” was an overriding religious and political hegemony that they, not Harrison, would be able to develop accurate time measuring technology that would meet the navy’s needs for accurate navigation, by accurate observations of the moon.

After decades in Harrison’s historical struggle, it became clearly apparent to all that using the moon for the accurate calculation of time simply wasn’t possible.  The British Navy, being at war with Europe, continued to lose many ships and thousands of men. It was this increasing cost of the losses at war and the imminent prospect of loosing the war to Europe, that motivated the King of England to personally seek out Harrison and support Harrison’s work with his own financial investment, because the situation had become grave for England. Still the Church and the “Academy of Science” would never concede until they could no longer cover up the success of Harrison’s invention. Harrison was finally rewarded and recognised by the British Parliament for his invention of his chronometer by the “Academy of Science” under the exhortation of the King a few years before his death.

So the historical case of Harrison, and his development of an ocean going chronometer that would accurately measure time, enable the identification of longitude to an accuracy of 1 kilometre is a most extraordinary demonstration that the moon is not an anchor of the measurement of creation time. From the point at which the British Navy finally adopted Harrison’s technology into their ships, history reveals that Britain gained dominance over the seas from Europe. Harrison’s work is the most profound modern example of creation’s proof laws that time cannot be accurately measured by the moon. When life depends on such technology you can bet that if time could be accurately identified by the moon, Harrison would never have won through with his chronometer – rather the Church and the then “Academy of Science” would have won through and today we would have their inventions of chronometers that would have been synchronized to the moon and would yet be on ships today as the failsafe backup in the event of GPS satellite technology failures. This of course is not the case.


The Translation Of Genesis 1:16

It is in Genesis where YHVH tells us that time – days and seasons – are to be identified by measurements of the behaviour of the sun and the stars (the ecliptic constellations). By measurements of the sun we can accurately identify the hours in a 24 hour day and the seasons, and by position of the sun relative to the ecliptic constellations of the stars we can tell which month of the year we are in- from the first to the twelfth and there are never thirteen months in a biblical year. Together the sun and the constellations of the stars function as signs to man to the precise measurement of time and thus can be used to accurately measure where we have travelled across the globe and how we are able to identify our longitude position across the globe, even given the fact that the northern and southern hemispheres have differing views of the same ecliptic constellations of stars.

Some bible translations imply or insert the moon as the lesser light, but this is wrong as the Hebrew does not have “and the stars” or “the stars also”
The Hebrew word for stars is kobab and DOES NOT HAVE A ” VAV” ATTACHED TO IT.  “VAV” would translate as AND, but it is not there, therefore the proper wording of this verse is:

Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night the stars.


This translation is as how I have understood it to be, because the sun and the stars are radiators of light, whereas the moon has no light of its own and is but a reflector of light from the sun.  However, today every English bible translation appears to have a different rendering of this particular verse – which in itself indicates a controversy and is something of interest as to why the ambiguity of the translations exists.

After being “woken up” over the last two years to understand that the prevailing religious worldview is biblically incorrect and that the moon is not the central governor of the calculation of time for the biblical calendar, but a deception of man made religion – my continued research of the scriptures where the moonappears by translation to be the significant anchor of the biblical calendar, with all the individual verses that people raise that would appear on the surface of contemporary popular translations to indicate it to be so (i.e. that the moon is the central sign of biblical calendar time) can all be readily debunked by careful examination of 1) how the scripture has been translated in full context of the scripture, and carefully examined on what is consistently written in the law of Moses and 2) understanding how these translations of the bible really originated out of influence from the rabbinic scribal emendations based on their calendar worldview.

In addition, the physical reality of the laws of creation  also stands as its own independent  and objective witness – not only in the point of the timing and physical change of the seasons but also because the moon also pitches up in the day time and does not dominate the nights for nearly half of each month, which anyone can  readily verify by taking the time to give some attention to the reality of the skies for a month by tracking the moon cycle through both the days and nights of a full lunar cycle.


The Ancient Testimony OF The Zadok Priesthood

In ancient times, apart from dominant stars such as Sirius (the North Star),  the stars were understood in reference to their ecliptic constellations which are plainly visible to the normal eye. There are 12 ecliptic constellations in total meaning that they are the 12 constellations where the sun (as perceived from the earth) on the course of its orbital path passes through them through the course of a full year. The sun passes sequentially through each one of the twelve constellations at a rate of approximately one each month, for 12 months of the year. This is the “circuit” (hebrew – “tekuphah”) of the sun as described in Psalm 19:4-6.

Unlike today, the ancients studied the stars intensely as part of their formal education and they had to be very familiar with them and their properties in relation to calculating time and SEASONS because they were an agricultural based economy and they needed to calculate time and the seasons very accurately. They did not have modern watches and Greenwich meantime to do this. For the ancients, not knowing exactly when to plant and reap meant hunger, famine, extinction or migration.

Today with most of us being average city dwellers not only can we not see the skies at night, we have lost all the ancient knowledge and unless a student of ocean navigation, we have little if any understanding of the stars and their constellations. Consequently we are generally ignorant of how to identify the seasons or the months, or even how to calculate time accurately from the sun in the day and from the positions of the constellations of stars sighted overhead in the night, (depending on which longitude and which season we find ourselves in. Rather we have been influenced by the teachings of the Rabbinics and/or the church.

In the ancient agricultural economies no-one calculated agricultural/economic time from the moon – the moon was used in the pagan nations in their positioning of religious calendars and religious celebrations. The book of Enoch tells us that it was the fallen angels that introduced the lunar calendar to men in complete rebellion against YHVH and in their effort to obliterate Enoch’s knowledge, which he had received from YHVH. Enoch is referred to in Genesis Chaps 4-5, Luke 3, Hebrews 11, and Jude 1.

What has become recently revealed through a second generation of scholars on the Qumran scrolls is that the scrolls are in fact authored by an exiled remnant of the Zadok priesthood, who were exiled from the temple after the Macabean revolt against Antiochus. In the time immediately after the Macabean revolt, control over the temple had been wrested from them firstly by the Hasmonean Sadducees, and then later by the Pharisees (the founders of Rabbinical Judaism), around 130-90 BCE.

During the time of Yahushua, the remnant of the Zadock priesthood and their communities were scattered throughout the cities of Judea (as testified by Josephus) after having been severely persecuted by crucifixions and oppression for more than 60 years or so until they were driven to relinquish complete control over the temple to the Sadducees and Pharisees.

In the Gospel’s account, Yahushua’s choice to observe his last Passover at the quarters of the “water carrier” is evidence that Yahushua associated himself with the exiled Zadok community since in that day water (household) was carried only by Judean women and not by the men – but the man who was the “water carrier” in the scripture is not a carrier of household water – these were men were called by Josephus as being of the “Essene sect”. The water they carried were the waters of purification for “Mikvah” washing rituals to quarters of their communities, which were situated in all the cities of Judea. These waters in their jars were those type which the testimony of the Apostles records that Yahushua turned into wine at the wedding. From the law of Moses we see this type of water carrying was the duties of the temple priesthood who were men.

The Center Of The Struggle Between The Zadok Priesthood Remnant And the Pharisees

At the center of the struggle between the Pharisees and the Zadock remnant that survived the great persecutions and crucifixions was the religious authority over the temple and the nature of the religious calendar. The Zadock priesthood maintained the authority of a SOLAR calendar as the biblical calendar, whereas the Pharisees introduced a LUNAR calendar as the religious calendar for the temple.

The Qumran scrolls provide a powerful last days testimony to the remnant today as they are primary first hand historical documents which witness to the intensity of this conflict between the Zadok priesthood who called themselves the “Sons of Light” and the Pharisees (whom the Zadock called “The Sons of Darkness”) with their lunar calendar. In their writings, a central concern of the Zadock priesthood in was that the “Sons of Darkness” had served to profane the temple with the lunar calendar and succeed in causing a great rebellion against YHVH, the most High Creator.

A Contemporary Voice In Jewish Religious Scholarship

Professor Elior holds the current Chair of Professor of Jewish Philosophy and Jewish Mystical Thought at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Prof. Elior provides a most significant conclusion – that the Pharisees (Rabbinical Judaism) through gaining political and religious control over the temple, successfully drove the Zadock priesthood and their solar biblical calendar out of the religious historical memory of Judah over a period of some 130 years. From her analysis of the content of the Qumran scrolls, Prof. Elior alerts us today to the fact that before Rabbinical Judaism, there existed a form of Judaism that was very different to the Pharisee/ Rabbinical Judaism commonly known and that the ancient form of Judaism that has been completely obliterated from Judah’s religious memory!

As a contemporary Israeli Jewish academic – Prof Rachel Elior, in her book “The Three Temples – On The Emergence Of Jewish Mysticism” (2004) presents a through examination of the intense conflict that existed between the Zadock priesthood and Rabbinical Judaism which began approximately around 100 years before the arrival of John the Baptist and Yahushua Messiah. She accomplished this be simply by analysing the written text of the Qumran documents and comparing them with certain tenets of Rabbinical Judaism.

In a display of great strength of character Elior has stood against all the resulting criticisms levelled at her by the Rabbinical and Christian academic theologians. Their attacks against her work appears to not have been levelled at what is literally written in the Qumran scrolls, but have been levelled at her academic character and her supposed ignorance of the interpretations written in their scholarly journals, which have been used influence academic thinking over the decades. However, when one reads the scrolls for oneself as I have done this year, there is nothing in her book that would lead me to say she is distorting what is written in the scrolls. In addition, her reporting on the content of the scrolls is also supported by another independent authored book by a second generation of non-Jewish scholars (see the reference book listed in next section of Messianic Scholarship).

A Contemporary Voice In Non-Jewish Messianic Scholarship

The book “The Dead Sea Scrolls – a New Translation” (2005) by Michael Wise, Martin Abegg, and Edward Cook is highly recommended if you are interested in a detailed account of the historical religious sects of Judaism that existed in Judea in the time of Yahushua and how the Pharisee Rabbinics gained religious control over the temple and political control over the whole of Judah. This Book provides valuable commentary on how the Qumran documents are relating to the “New Testament” ethics and writings.


For more than six decades the faithful have been held captive to a small selected number of institutional Roman and Rabbinic academic theologians on what the scrolls were all about – they kept the information behind lock and key – which is today considered the greatest academic scandal of the 20th century. The scrolls were finally published in their entirety in 2001 under the direction of Hebrew University Professor Emanuel Tov.

 “Publication of the scrolls was delayed for decades, due mainly to the inertia of the original editors, beginning with Father Roland de Vaux. The French Dominican priest, who was editor-in-chief of the publication of the Scrolls until he died in 1971, never published a definitive archaeological report of his work at Qumran. He and the editors succeeding him were accused of moving too slowly in opening the content of the scrolls to wider study. De Vaux and the Israeli scholar-soldier-politician Yigal Yadin, laid the foundations of the mainstream theories regarding the scrolls’ origins and the identity of the community in Qumran.”

But clearly YHVH has in these days opened up that which has been hidden from the faithful concerning ancient time of the years immediate prior to the advent of John the Baptist and Yahushua Messiah to give us greater insight to the spiritual struggle that existed between Yahushua and the Righteous and the Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes.

In my understanding, it is nothing short of a great miracle that YHVH – praise His wonderful Name – has preserved the testimony of the remanent Zadok priesthood to be able to help the remnant faithful in the last days, who are in our own struggle to walk after YHVH and to be protected from a GREAT deception. Yahushua described that deception would be so GREAT that if it were possible even the very elect would be deceived. Hallelujah that that He has said it is NOT possible because He is our great Protector, Redeemer and Good Shepherd. I have no doubt that He has opened the ancient testimony of the remnant Zadock priesthood who were in exile in the times of the first coming of Yahushua, from the locks and keys of the prison houses of Bozrah, for His remnant to read and consider and BE ENCOURGED in these last days! The Zadock writings are not scripture but letters – akin to the Epistles of the Apostles. Their ancient testimony alongside the repentant call to hear and walk in YHVH’s full Word of the Law and the Prophets, with the Testimony of Yahusha Messiah and the Apostles, gives us a strong foundation for the very times in which we find ourselves.

The Scrolls provide significant historical contextual information for understanding the very nature of the words and attitude that Yahushua exhibited towards the Pharisees and explain why the Pharisees were always so strongly motivated to move against Yahushua, to try and trap him in religious argument and ultimately to carry out a plan to have him put to death by crucifixion (which is what they had also done to the leadership of the Zadock priesthood just a few decades earlier).

There can be no doubt that the Spirit of YHVH has been mightily at work in these days. Praise YHVH for He  has promised that His remnant will hear His voice in the last days to a degree such as has not been since the time of Yahushua and the outpouring of the Set-Apart Spirit as recorded in the time of the  Book of Acts. Now it comes at a time when we need it most and the world (Egypt) is experiencing a great famine of the Word of YHVH.

The exiled remnant Zadok priesthood also had a prophetic exhortation to the last generation remnant – there is once again a battle coming that will continue with their struggle as it did in their ancient days between the “Sons of Light” and the “Sons of Darkness”, and their exhortation to the last generation remnant is to understand the very core principles on which the ancient battle was fought…but this is beyond the scope of this article.

In conclusion, the authority YHVH has appointed over the night is 1) the sun and 2) the stars and their constellations, in their ecliptic positions – the proof of this creation law is that man (even ancient man) has never accurately navigated his ships by the moon, but by the position of both the sun and the stars for accurate time keeping and interpretation of position.

This is an important FACT because it is the reality of the laws of YHVH’s creation that these two principles alone enable an accurate calculation of time which can be related to ones careful measurement of distance travelled to identify one exact longitude. This has been to not be possible with observations of the moon proven in modern history, as the moon does not have the constant properties for time keeping, as do the sun and the stars. Hence the development of the practical rules of successful circumnavigation of sailing men across globe that existed before satellite GPS technology came into existence (and is still in use today lest the satellite gear on ships fails) Thus the design of modern technology itself is but also a witness to YHVH’s laws of creation and the how time can be measured. No amount of religious persuasion or dogmas can alter this reality. Creation provides its own independent testimony and witness to the written Word of YHVH

One final thought concerns about the reality of the biblically prophesied coming time of YHVH’s visitation to the earth to redeem His people from the prison houses of “Bozrah” – a very dark time is now appearing upon the world. From scripture of Isaiah 24 we read that at that coming time when YHVH rises to judge the whole earth and to judge and regather His people, those who would continue to dogmatically insist on religious doctrines of establishing the times and seasons calendars by the authority of the moon could find themselves seriously puzzled, adrift and confused when it all begins to come down…  We remember that it is Yahushua’s expressed concern than none of His people should perish in these coming days, but that all will be “overcomers” through that time and will endure to the end.

    The seven day weekly cycle was instituted before the creation of the Moon so how then can the Moon govern the weekly cycle if it was not yet created or illuminated four days after the week began?
    Leviticus 23 i verse 4 follows the listing of Shabbat and then preempts the listing of the other moedim which are to be “proclaimed”.
    Shabbat is NOT a moed that is “proclaimed” according to the Moon. It’s a fixed 7-day cycle given as the ‘Ot’ ‘sign’ – or ‘mark’ on all believers throughout all generations by יהוה.
    The Moon and the calendar:
    All biblical years must have 360 days, the question arises is how to we deal with the extra 4-5 days since the days of King Hezekiah.
    We can’t be adding a13th month like the rabbis or all calendars will be off and the Feasts will be off every third year.
    The 11 day difference between the lunar and solar years must be reconciled yearly so the Feasts and YHWH’s fixed times to always start in the first month and not 30 days late every 3 years, or 7 times in 19 years like the rabbinical calendar.
    The Feasts of יהוה must be fixed by the 12 stations-windows of the sun and stars. The moon has been sick [not in sync] several times through the centuries, including the days of Enoch.
    The moon used to be in sync with the sun prior to the days of King Hezekiah and calculations just won’t work with required precision today.
    Men try and monk with it every three years, but still, יהוה hasn’t restored it to match the earth’s solar year.
    Why is the moon sick:
    Why is the moon sick and not the sun if YHWH moved the sun, causing the shadow to move in King Hezekiah’s day [Isaiah Ch. 38 1-9]?
    The sun has 6 portals of 30 days each, which the sun then passes through twice a year.
    Rising in 6 in the east and setting in the same 6 in the west. Each portal-month is a PERFECT 30 days + we add the 4 season days as the year draws to a close before the Vernal Equinox.
    The sun gives us 12 perfect months or Chodashim-a transit through 12 [6 + 6] portals, the sun is healthy.
    YHWH slowed the earth’s orbit to cause a longer solar year, as well as to cause the shadow to go backwards.
    Moon out of sync by 11 days a year; or 33 days every 3 years.
    All that being said; the earth actually assists the moon in its sickbed, because without the earth’s gravitational rescue; the moons actual lunation is 27 days, or 27 day months;
    Psalm 89:37:
    His zera shall endure le-olam-va-ed, and his kesay as the sun before Me. 37 It shall be established le-olam-va-ed as the moon, and as a faithful witness in the shamayim. Selah.
    The moon is a faithful witness to the handiwork of the Creator, giving-witness He’s the Grand Designer; that doesn’t change; but that doesn’t mean the moon is a reliable time witness for establishing times and seasons.
    2 Kings 20:9 And Yeshayahu said, This ot shall you have of vuvh, that vuvh will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the shadow go forth-forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees? 10 And Hizqiyahu answered, It would be easy for the shadow to go down-forward ten degrees: no, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees. 11 And Yeshayahu the navi cried to vuvh: and He brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Achaz.
    Isaiah 38:7 And this shall be an ot to you from vuvh, that vuvh will do this thing that He has spoken; 8 See, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down on the sundial of Achaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial, by the same degrees that it had gone dow
    2 Chronicles 32:24 In those days Hizqiyahu was sick, near to death, and made tefillah to vuvh and He spoke to him, and He gave him an ot. (the shadow moving backwards)
    The Biblical calendar only allows for 12 months of 30 days each or 360 days. Nowhere in Scripture is an allowance made for an added 13th month.
    New Months are to be celebrated on New Month Day, as the sun passes 30 degrees or 30 days in the heavens from point A to point B.
    In the Tanach almost all references to month use the Hebrew word ‘Chodesh’, a set of 30 days of time, not the word ‘Yarayach’ or literally “The Moon.”
    ‘Yarayach’ is only used 26 times, all referring to the actual moon itself.
    The Hebrew word ‘Chodesh’ is used over 256 times in the Tanach and always refers to a MONTH, solar month, not a moon of any type.
    Moon is only used 26 times, not to refer to a time period, but the definite article.
    The Hebrew word for New Moon, and Crescent Moon (Saharon Yare’akh) are NOT the same!
    The Crescent is NOT the New Moon, and the evidence of Crescent-Moon “worship” in the scriptures and history is very disturbing, It’s pre Islamic, its infiltrated the Hebrew Roots from the mystery religions of Babylon just like Hanukah and Purim have!
    Psalm 104:19
    There are different kinds of appointed times and only the context can determine which time it appoints.
    When Psalm 104:19 is read in context with verses 21 and 22 it speaks of the Moed of the night or darkness, as beasts in the forest look for prey in the Moadim, Seasons of night-darkness.
    Psalm 104:19 He created the moon for moadim: the sun knows its going down.
    20 You make darkness, and it is night: in it all the beasts of the forest do creep.
    21 The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from El. 22 The sun rises, they gather themselves together, and lie down in their dens. 23 Man goes forth to his work and to his labor until the evening. 24 O vuvh, how manifold are Your works! In chochmah have You made them all: the earth is full of Your riches.
    Psalm 104:21, is a continuation of that theme and then it shifts to verse 22 where the moadeem-appointed times of light are regulated by the sun. This isn’t a reference to the moon itself regulating annual weekly Shabbats or annual feasts.

    In the Millennial Kingdom both the solar and lunar year will have 364 or 365:
    In eternity Revelation chapter 21 and chapter 22 when the sun and moon are not needed; because when Messiah our Malki-Tzedik stands up to lead us at the fixed times, we’ll stand and follow Him and his light.
    Why Babylon? Because the pre Islamic Babylonian moon-deity Sin was worshipped there, whose symbol is the crescent moon.
    The scriptural record of the crescent moon and those associated with it are negative!
    (Genesis 35:4) “Before Yaakov went to Bethel to present himself before Yahweh he made all his people to hand over to him their “strange elohim” and ear-rings. (i.e.,
    Crescent-shaped amulets), and he hid them under the oak which was in Schechem.”
    It was worn by women (Isaiah 3:18), and by kings (Judges 8:21/26), and tied to the necks of camels (Judges 8:21) to protect them from the Evil Eye.
    Moshe, the Sphinx, the Pyramids, the Equinox and the dawn day start marker!
    Acts 7:22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
    The Sphinx is an equinoctial marker. The Sphinx faces East at the exact location where the Sun rises on the day of the vernal equinox (21 March). As the sun rises it illuminates its face.
    The Great Pyramid is a giant sundial, with it’s shadow to the north and its reflected sunlight to the south. This accurately marks both the solstices and equinoxes. Two of its faces are orientated due east and west – the exact points of the rising and setting sun only on the spring and autumnominal equinox.
    Equinox or Equilux:
    equinox is not equal day and night, that’s equilux. The equinox is a time when the center of sun can be observed directly above the earths equator. It’s the equinox that is the scriptural sign for the beginning of the year.
    Equinox in scripture is Tekufah. Tekufah is an exact yearly event. The equilux is not exact because it can last for longer periods of time on either side of the equinox.
    The Tekufah:
    The Tekufah is found in Exodus 34.22 (the turn of the year), 1 Samuel 1:20 (Hannah/Elkenah>Samuel prophecy) Elkenah was attending the Feast of Passover, Psalm 19:6 (the mazzoreth and the constellations), 2 Chronicles 24:23 (the year end).
    Deuteronomy 16:1The great Et-Ot, or sign of the year.
    This great sign is for the entire year and all weekly and annual shabbats and it’s called the ‘turn of the year’ or the ‘Tekufah Ha Shanna’, Rosh Ha Shanna.
    Deuteronomy 16:1 Shomer the month of Aviv-Ot (the great sign/Tekufah turn of the year)
    in order to perform the Peach to YHWH your Elohim, for in the month (not moon) of the great Aviv-Ot, sign, your Elohim brought you out of Egypt-Mitzrayim by night.
    Two seasons – biblically: summer and winter:
    Genesis 8:22 While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.
    Beware of the Exodus 9:31 Eisegesis –
    Exodus 9:31 Now the flax and the barley were struck (by hail – the 7th plague), for the barley was in the head (Aviv) and the flax was in the bud.
    Tekufah – turn of the year – draw out – an Exegesis of the text!
    2 Samuel 11:1 teshuwbah תשובה (tav-sheen-vav-bet-heh) a completion of a year.
    1 Kings 20:22 The King of Syria would invade at the ‘turn of the year’ and steal the harvest.
    1 Chronicle 20:1 In the time of King David, Joab would take out a raiding party after the ‘equinox’, ‘turn of the year’ and plunder the harvest!
    Identifying the Equinox:
    The ecliptic represents the suns apparent yearly path in from of the constellations of the Mazzaroth.
    The celestial equator is a circle drawn around the sky above the earth’s equator.
    The eliptic and celestial equator intersect at the spring equinox and autumnal equinox points.
