The Course of the Moon by Wayne Thibodeaux PDF

Here is an interesting tidbit.

Enoch Chapter 41 41:5

And I saw the storerooms of the sun and the moon, from what place they come out and to which place they return, and their splendid return -how in their travel one festival is celebrated more than the other. They do not depart from their orbit, neither increase nor decrease it; but they keep faith one with another: in accordance with an oath they set and they rise.

How in their travel one festival is celebrated more than the other? The festival of the Sabbath day is celebrated year long. The lunar year is ten-eleven days shorter than the solar year. The solar calendar has more Sabbath days than the lunar calendar. They do not depart from their orbit, neither increase or decrease it. This is by oath, or rather the command from our Father. Many seem to think the days of the year have changed over time. Enoch tells us nothing has changed from his time to our time.

41:6 From the first is the sun; and it executes its course in accordance with the commandment of YHVH of Hosts -HIS NAME shall persist forever and ever.

The sun is primary in every aspect of life as well as time keeping.

41:8 Surely the many changes of the sun have both a blessing and a curse, and the course of the moons path is light to the righteous on the one hand and darkness to the sinners on the other, in the NAME of YHVH of Hosts, who created the distinction between light and darkness and separated the spirits of the people, and strengthened the spirits of the righteous in the NAME of HIS righteousness.

The course of the moons path is light to the righteous and darkness to the sinners. Obviously political correctness didn’t exist in the days of Enoch. The course of the moon is darkness to the sinners? I’ve never spoken to anyone who uses the lunar calendar that knew anything about the course of the moon. Is this the darkness they live in?

The course of the moon mimics the course of the sun. Twice in one of it’s so called monthly cycles, the moon crosses the ecliptic, just as the sun crosses the ecliptic twice in a solar year. Those who follow the moon look for conjunction, crescent, fullness. Though most just wait to be told what and when. They never seem to notice that sometime the moon is high, sometime the moon is low. This crossing of the ecliptic is the darkness the sinners live in. As the sun crosses the ecliptic in the spring we count to the weekly Sabbath and the appointed times. As the sun crosses the ecliptic again in the fall, we count to the fall appointed times.

Enoch 41:8 Surely the many changes of the sun have both a blessing and a curse, and the course of the moons path is light to the righteous on the one hand and darkness to the sinners on the other, in the NAME of YHVH of Hosts, who created the distinction between light and darkness and separated the spirits of the people, and strengthened the spirits of the righteous in the NAME of HIS righteousness.

Enoch is pointing out that the course of the moon is telling us something. Those who understand the workings of the calendar of creation will see this path of the moon is mimicking the path of the sun. The sun crosses the ecliptic twice in one solar year. It’s at these two time periods, the spring and the fall equinox, that we celebrate the feasts and appointed times of YHVH. The moon crosses the ecliptic twice in one month. So the path of the moon points us to the path of the sun as it relates to the calendar with the two ecliptic crossings. Does Enoch say to those who know the calendar of creation, this knowledge is light to the righteous? Certainly those who only know the moon will never see this correlation, could this be the darkness they live in?
